The Bob Jones Patriots are participating in the Palmetto State Showdown 7-on-7 tournament in Beach Springs Intermediate School in South Carolina this weekend.

The 20-team tournament includes national power Byrnes (S.C.), Myrtle Beach (S.C.), Bergen (N.J.), Brunswick (Ga.), David Crockett (Tenn.), Davidson Day (N.C.), Lakeside (Ga.), Southern (N.C.) and Erwin (N.C.).

Valdosta (Ga.) won last year's championship game against Byrnes. The winner of this year's tournament will advance to the National Select 7-on-7 tournament hosted at Hoover High School next weekend.
